Maison La Cerisaie - Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Maison La Cerisaie, Sixt Fer à Cheval, Grand Massif, trading as Maison La Cerisaie (“Maison La Cerisaie”, “Property”, “We”, “Us”, ‘Owner’) The property is managed and owned by Pablo & Christine Ettinger and we hereby give notice that any booking you make for rental of all or part of the chalet Maison La Cerisaie is subject to the following conditions. If you place a direct booking with us, you accept these conditions. Please read them carefully. 

 

This contract is between Maison La Cerisaie and the party leader (“You”, “Guest”,”Tenant”) who must sign the booking form accepting these conditions on behalf of all persons in their party (“Guests”, “Hosts”, “Tenants”). A contract exists when you have paid a deposit and we have confirmed the reservation in writing.

Guest Responsibility 

Guests must treat the property, its furnishings, fittings, utensils and other facilities with care and respect. Any loss or damage incurred to the property must be reported to us straight away. We have the right to recover from you the cost of any loss, damage or breakage caused during your stay. 

We accept no responsibility for any of your personal belongings, including money, electrical and IT equipment and official documents, both inside and outside the chalet. 

​ All Hosts (and Guests) must comply with the House Rules and any other instructions provided by the owners or property manager during their stay; 

 

Security Deposit 

In making a booking you accept responsibility for any theft, breakage or damage caused by you or any member of your party and agree to indemnify us in full for any loss that we may incur as a result. A security deposit of €600 is required and will be returned within 7 days of the end of your holiday, less the cost of any losses, damage/breakages. Tenant’s responsibility for costs and damages are not limited to the amount of the security deposit. 

 
If the security deposit is insufficient, the Tenant undertakes to make up the difference, on the basis of supporting documents provided by the owner.

Please treat the facilities & accommodation with due care so that other guests may continue to enjoy them. If you notice something is missing or damaged in your accommodation, please let us know immediately so that we can take the appropriate action. If there has been any damage or breakages during your stay, we would be grateful if you could report them promptly, especially before check-out. The accommodation will be inspected at the end of the holiday. Please do not move any furniture from one room to another.

Number of occupants 

The number of tenants cannot exceed the capacity indicated on the contract or the description. The tenant agrees to only occupy the accommodation with the people designated when booking. 

Any change must first have been agreed with the owner. In this case and taking into account the additional charges caused by the modification of the number of occupants, a supplement may be calculated in proportion to the number of people.

Hot tub and terrace 
The hot tub may be used until 10pm. Please respect this timing out of respect for our neighbours. Please avoid using glass or sharp objects near the pool/hot tub (there are plastic glasses in the kitchen).

Guests must shower before entering the water for hygiene reasons and to rinse off creams and makeup. 

​

The Yoga Studio 

The Yoga Studio in the garden does not form part of the rental agreement and if you wish to use this, it must be separately hired by agreement. Please contact us if you wish to do so. 

 

Check-out  

Check-out time is before 10.00 and check in is from 17.00. These timings are required in order to fully clean and prepare the chalet for the following guests.  

 

Insurance 

You are expected to purchase insurance to cover both the cost of cancellation by you and the cost of assistance, medical treatment or repatriation in the event of your having an accident or becoming seriously ill. We disclaim responsibility for any costs associated with your injury, sickness or repatriation.

Smoking 

Maison La Cerisaie is a non-smoking chalet. Smoking is not permitted inside the chalet or within the porch area. It is permitted on the guest garden terrace. 

 

Pets 

We regret that for the moment we cannot accept pets. 

 

Outdoor shoes 

We ask you not to wear outdoor shoes in the chalet. Please bring indoor shoes or slippers. There is an entrance hall inside the front door where shoes can be left. 

 

Noise 

Guests and Visitors must make as little noise as possible so as not to disturb residents of neighboring properties, especially during the night (e.g. from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.), as well as during arrival and departure;

Noise nuisance is prohibited at any time and may result in the termination of the Seasonal Rental Agreement, eviction, loss of costs incurred as well as deductions from the security deposit. 

 

Parties and events 

It is strictly forbidden to organize parties or any other type of large gathering in the Property; Any gathering in a small committee must be done in compliance with the other rules stipulated in these regulations, in particular with regard to Noise, Neighborhood and the number of Visitors authorized.

Booking and Payment 

A booking is secured once we have received the completed booking form, together with a 10% deposit of the total amount. All deposits are non-refundable except where we are unable to accept your booking. 

​

The full balance is to be paid no later than 8 weeks before the arrival date. Bookings made within 8 weeks of arrival are payable in full immediately. 

​

Where payment is not made 8 weeks before arrival, the booking may be cancelled and the deposit forfeited. 

 

Security 

When you leave the property, you are responsible for ensuring that all windows and doors are closed and/or locked in order to preserve the security of the accommodation and to prevent potential damage caused by rain or snow. 

Guests must supervise babies and children at all times in the house and when using the terrace/garden and the Jacuzzi. 

 

The Environment! 

Please close and lock the doors and close the windows when you leave the property unoccupied and please make sure you switch off lights, heating, or any electrical appliances when you go out – we’re an eco-friendly chalet. 

 

Complaints 

Any problem or complaint which the client may have concerning their holiday must be reported directly to us as soon as possible and we will endeavour to put matters right.

Prices 

We aim to ensure that any prices shown on our website are current and accurate at all times. However, we reserve the right to adjust prices at any time before you make your booking and we will confirm them at the time of your booking.

Cancellation 

Cancellation must be made in writing by the party leader and will be subject to the following charges: 

  • More than 8 weeks before arrival: 25% 

  • 4-8 weeks before arrival: 50% 

  • 2-4 weeks before arrival: 75% 

  • Less than 2 weeks before arrival: 100%

Any alterations, other than additions, made to the existing booking within 8 weeks of arrival may be subject to an administrative fee.

Force Majeure 

We accept no legal liability and no compensation will be paid if we are forced to cancel, curtail or in any way change your holiday due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to war, civil unrest, pandemic, industrial dispute, natural disaster, fire, technical problems with transport, closure or congestion of airports or ports, adverse weather conditions and any other similar event.

La Cerisaie is a family house and is our home. We hope that all our guests enjoy the facilities and treat the property with the same respect that they would with their own house.
